Tim has been working with computers for years, starting off programming in BASIC, moving on to help desk support, then 3D animation, graphic design, web design, and network design & support. He is now concentrating most of his efforts in building database-driven web sites that feature e-Commerce and B2B, B2C, C2C transactions with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), ASP.NET, SQL Server, Exchange Server, and streaming media. Total automation is Tim's ultimate goal, and he brings the power of scripting to play in any aspect of the server, including Exchange, SQL, ASP.NET, Active Directory, and Windows Scripting Host environments. His extensive knowledge of networking and hardware sets him apart from other developers who don't have an intimate knowledge of the server side of things. Tim has also been working with streaming media for over 6 years, and can build a network and content delivery solution to meet the needs of practically anyone. He is Microsoft certified (MCSE) and Citrix certified (CCA).

Skills

Tim spends most of his time programming in Visual Basic for ASP.NET and SQL Server, using the .NET Framework on IIS. He also supports client networks consisting of Windows Server, Exchange Server, IIS, SQL Server, ISA Server, Citrix, Terminal Server, Sharepoint, Active Directory, Windows Media Server, Norton Antivirus Enterprise Edition, and Imail just to name a few. He can also support any number of routers and firewalls including Sonicwall, Firebox, Cisco, Linksys, and Netgear with IPSec VPN. He has supported many hosted servers at datacenters and can support load balancing and internet protocols such as DNS, SMTP, IMAP, HTTP, SNMP, RPC over HTTP, MMS, RTSP, and more. He is especially fond of technologies that contain acronyms. He has supported ISPs since 1997 and can troubleshoot problems with domain names, DNS name resolution, email, SSL, streaming media, and firewalls.

When he's not programming or supporting networks, Tim like to play Xbox and flamenco guitar, and brews his own beer about once a month.
